Dodgeville: Wind energy workshop
Wind Energy Workshop to be held in Dodgeville
Harvest the Wind is a wind energy workshop for farm owners in southwest Wisconsin. The workshop will help those interested in potentially producing wind power go through a process of determining what makes a location a better (or worse) site for wind. Discussion on how to work with your utility will be included. There will be an opportunity to listen to one pioneering dairy farmers’ experience with on farm wind production.
This workshop is an opportunity to meet folks working in the wind industry and see if it fits into your operation. You will also learn about what grants and loans are available for wind generation.
The workshop will be held at Dodger Bowl, 318 King Street, Dodgeville, Wisconsin on Tuesday, February 23, from 9:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. For more information and to register for the workshop, contact Gene Schriefer, UW-Extension Iowa County at (608)935-0391.
