Arboretum Class: "Populations in the Prairie." Look at familiar plants and animals in a new way by building simple models and animations to explore how populations spread and grow. Then test the effect different environmental factors can have. Find answers to questions such as: What do wild strawberries and staghorn sumac have in common? How many monarchs might we see on the prairie next year? Are all weedy species successful? Fee: $18 ($15 for members of Friends of the Arboretum). Registration required. Contact the Arboretum for a registration form, or register and pay online at www.uwarboretum.org
