New Winter Farmers Market Starting November 8, 2009, In Madison

A Winter Farmers Market is coming inside to the Northside of Madison! The Northside Winter Inside Farmers Market will be held from 10am to 1pm every other Sunday starting November 8th through December 20th in the old True Value Hardware location, 2865 N. Sherman Av., at the Northside TownCenter on the corner of Northport Dr. and Sherman Av. (near Warner Park). Follow the yellow signs in the parking lot to the corner location of the shopping center.

This year's winter market will feature many of the local farm vendors that made the summer market such an unqualified success. And of course, as usual, the Market will feature farm vendors with the locally grown fall produce and farm fresh quality meats, root vegetables and fruits available from the Northside Farmers Market vendors. There will be a variety of meats from beef to poultry, dairy products, baked goods, fresh herbs, honey, and eggs. The inside winter Northside Farmers Market will have 20 farm vendors, in addition, to several food and art vendors.

The Northside Farmers Market will also have Ruegsegger Farms coming back for the Winter Market, and they will be taking orders for holiday turkeys and pies. Note that Ruegsegger Farms has a limited supply of Bronze Heritage turkeys. You may order online at http://www.naturalmeats.org. Orders for Thanksgiving pies are due by November 15. Orders for Christmas pies are due by December10.

All kinds of wonderful and delicious foods will be served throughout the market day. A special hot breakfast is served each Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm. Indulge yourself in eggs, pancakes, bacon, baked goodies, Laotian Curry, Egg Rolls and sweet Cajun Beignets from Bradys Market Cafe. Special Sunday Brunches will be featured throughout the Winter Market with a special "Cultural Culinary Brunch" from a local restaurant guest Chef served at 11 am.
