Informational Meeting for 292-Acre Dane County Property In Black Earth Creek Area
Dane County to Begin Master Planning Process for a 292-acre Property within the Black Earth Creek Natural Resource Area
Planning staff is working together with a stakeholder team and consulting firm LanDesign to prepare a master plan for a 292-acre property within the Black Earth Creek Natural Resource Area. A master plan is needed to identify the location and extent of public access to the property, set forth vegetation management goals, establish recreation uses that are compatible with resource protection and management objectives, identify future acquisition areas, and outline phases and costs of development and potential funding and revenue sources. The property is located near the intersection of Hwy 14 and Twin Valley Road in the Town of Middleton.
A public information meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd at the Middleton Town Hall, 7555 W. Old Sauk Road, Verona to introduce the project and solicit public comments. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for viewing maps, with a presentation to follow at 7:00 p.m.
