Angelic in downtown Madison is closed

It hadn't been a brewpub since brewmaster Dean Coffee left to start the Ale Asylum a couple of years ago, but the Angelic was nonetheless a fixture in downtown Madison. Apart from having been part of the original revival of Madison's brewing tradition and one of the pioneers of craft brewing in the state capital, it continued to serve local quality brews and food after it had stopped its own brewing operations.

As of Thursday, July 3, it seems the Angelic has closed its doors for good.
