Sustainable Times is a free, monthly publication for people invested in protecting our world to create a better tomorrow. It's the only publication in Southern Wisconsin that focuses exclusively on all aspects of sustainability, from food and health to energy and construction, from local business and transportation to conservation and land use.

Sustainable Times has a circulation of 10,000 and is available at over 300 locations throughout Dane County and Southern Wisconsin.

Southern Wisconsin is known for its progressive politics, academic institutions, organic farming, and quality-conscious consumers. For example:

• Dane County is home to the nation’s largest producer-only farmers market, encompassing over 100 vendors and frequented by over 20,000 people weekly.
• Wisconsin has the 2nd largest number of organic farms in the country.
• 25% of the groceries bought in the Dane County area are bought in natural, cooperative, or neighborhood food stores. That’s over $56 million a year!

Our Mission

Act as a link between producers and consumers in the sustainable arena. Inform people about natural alternatives. Provide people with resources to help them make informed decisions. Provide a much needed media outlet that consistently covers the many aspects of sustainable economy and is a forum to the many organizations and businesses involved in the sustainability effort in southern Wisconsin.
