Whole Foods Market® Encourages Shoppers to Trade in Toxic Cleaners
Whole Foods Market® encourages shoppers to trade in toxic cleaners and swap them with complimentary Natural Cleaning Solutions to celebrate Earth Month.
Whole Foods Market is teaming up with Naturally Clean to help shoppers reduce their environmental impact in honor of Earth Month. Shoppers can bring in any new or used household cleaner and exchange it for a new full-sized greener cleaner made with natural enzymes. *One toxic trade-in per family is allowed.
Some evidence links the chemicals in conventional household products to cancer, asthma, allergies, multiple chemical sensitivity syndrome (also known as environmental illness), hormonal disruption, reproductive and developmental disorders. Yet cleaning products are exempt from the full ingredient disclosure on product labels as required for food and personal care products and enter the marketplace with little or no testing for health risks.
In addition, many hazardous cleaning products are disposed of in landfills or incinerated, where they release their toxins into the environment and contribute to the depletion of the ozone layer, pollute groundwater and contaminate the soil, while possibly causing significant and irreparable harm to animals, plants, drinking water and food supplies.
About the Products: Naturally Clean’s products are comprised of one of nature’s most powerful cleaners: enzymes. Enzymes are nontoxic with no fumes, phosphates, acids or petroleum. Yet they clean equal to, or better, than toxic cleaners do, and are completely safe for people, pets and the environment. For more details about green cleaning, please call 800-375-5059.
