'Take A Ride on the Wild Side' With Jungle Jack Hanna To Support Henry Vilas Zoo

Animal lovers and Zoo supporters are invited to “Take a Ride on the Wild Side” with Jungle Jack Hanna on Saturday, March 10th from 7:00-11:00 p.m. at Smart Motors on Odana Road. “Take a Ride on the Wild Side” is an adult-only event where guests can enjoy the acclaimed animal expert and his wild animal friends up close and personal. The event will raise money for the completion of the Arctic Passage exhibit for the Zoo’s Polar Bears and Seals.

Join us for cocktails (cash bar), heavy hors d’oeuvres, music, and animal experiences in addition to Jack Hanna’s presentation. Jack Hanna's hands-on approach has won him widespread acclaim as Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo, conservationist, author, television personality, and lifelong adventurer.

Tickets for the event cost $75. Enjoy an exclusive VIP reception with Jack Hanna at the beginning of the evening with a $150 VIP ticket—you’ll also receive a complementary bottle of wine and preferred seating. The event is the culmination of a six-month Toyota Prius raffle sales promotion. The Prius was generously donated by Smart Motors. Raffle tickets are on sale from now until 8 p.m. on March 10th. To purchase a raffle ticket for this energy-efficient, environmentally friendly vehicle, visit the Zoo Gift Shop or Smart Motors on Odana Road. Tickets are $20 each or $100 for six tickets. Only 5,000 raffle tickets will be sold.

In addition to winning the 2011 Toyota Prius first place prize, raffle contestants have the chance to win other sought-after prizes as well, like the top-of-the-line Canon EOS Rebel T3 Digital SLR Camera, the iPad 2 or a 42” flat screen LCD TV. Participants do not have to be present to win.
