City of Middleton Holds Clean & Green Middleton

On April 24, 2010 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, the City of Middleton will hold its semi-annual Clean & Green Middleton, an event to help local residents keep items out of landfills and properly recycle waste, such as electronics and batteries.

Many items will be donated to local charities, such as St. Vincent de Paul, Middleton Senior Center, the Middleton Lions Club, Kromrey Middle School, Habitat ReStore, Kiwanis, etc. File 13 will provide a discounted rate of $.25 per lb. for recycling electronics.

Sustain Dane will be on site selling rain barrels and water conservation kits. You can also find out how energy efficient your home is compared to other homes like yours. And refreshments will be provided by the Willy St. Co-op.

Clean & Green Middleton is held by the Sustainability Committee of the City of Middleton. The City of Middleton just earned the Sustainable Community Award from In Business Magazine.
