Concern about climate change is a global problem, but its impacts occur at the local and regional scale. Regional integrated
climate assessments are increasingly viewed as critical to sound climate policy. The assessment of Global Climate Change
Impacts in the United States includes analyses of the potential climate change impacts that will affect the Midwest, including
issues relating to water resources, energy supply and use, transportation, agriculture, ecosystems, human health and society
(e.g., urban infrastructure). These findings will be discussed in this presentation.
