Big River (30 min) is a follow-up film following that field of corn into the neighboring watershed. In End of the Line (26 min), the first major feature documentary film revealing the impact of overfishing on our oceans, we see firsthand the effects of our global love affair with fish as food.

What’s on your Plate?
$3 benefiting Community GroundWorks at Troy Gardens

What's on your plate? (76 min) is a witty and provocative documentary produced and directed by award-winning Catherine Gund about kids and food politics. Filmed over the course of one year, the film follows two eleven-year-old multi-racial city kids as they explore their place in the food chain. Sadie and Safiyah take a close look at food systems in New York City and its surrounding areas. With the camera as their companion, the girl guides talk to each other, food activists, farmers, new friends, storekeepers, their families, and the viewer, in their quest to understand what’s on all of our plates.

No Impact Man

$3 benefiting Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters

Follow the Manhattan-based Beavan family as they abandon their high consumption 5th Avenue lifestyle and try to live a year while making no net environmental impact (93 min).

Friday, April 30th

Food, Inc.

$3 benefiting REAP Food Group

Filmmaker Robert Kenner lifts the veil on our nation's food industry in this Academy Award nominated documentary, exposing the highly mechanized underbelly that has been hidden from the American consumer with the consent of our government's regulatory agencies, USDA and FDA. Our nation's food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment (94 min).
