Absolutely Art is thrilled to celebrate our 5th Birthday and we are proud to present our artists for April. Featuring, the art and outreach of Mess Hall Press and works by Sonal Ahuja.

Mess Hall Press is run by a volunteer staff of local artists, graphic designers and communication professionals, teaching the fundamentals of the creative process through hands-on art activities. Their creations come to life via screen-printing, letterpress, and good old-fashioned pencil sketches.

Sonal’s works in Oils, as her ideal medium, convey emotions, feelings and thoughts. Her oil paintings are not about actual things or places but an attempt to capture the life that exists in everything. Sonal was born and brought up in India. She paints what appeals to her rather than tying herself to a particular style. Her works are highly acclaimed in India.

We hope you can join us for a night of fun, great food and birthday cake from Bunky’s Café as well as drinks for all! DJ SpinCycle will spin some old school vinyl. Live screen printing will take place in our backyard, with proceeds benefiting Mess Hall Press and the Goodman Community Center.
