We try to use as much local and seasonal ingredients as possible and try to include as many different producers/farmers as possible. Local musicians play from 5\:30 to 6\:30\, then everyone sits down in the dinning room at the same time to break bread together by candle light. The producers are usually on hand to discuss their product and answer any questions from the group. It is usually a 5 or 6 course meal that ranges from $18 to $25 depending on the offerings.

Charitable activities include providing good nutritious food and clean water to those in need from disaster or long term disadvantage.

The Friends of the UW Geology Museum will be hosting the second annual fundraising event at the Capital Brewery on Saturday\, August 9\, 2008\, starting at 7\:00 pm. The event is open to all and kids are encouraged to attend. The highlight of the evening will be the showing of the movie “Star Wars IV\, A New Hope” beginning at dusk. Prior to the movie\, there will be games for kids\, live music by “Mud Music”\, and fossils and minerals\, for viewing and sale. There is no charge for this event\, but donations are welcome. Bring a picnic dinner and join the fun.
