In the award-winning film A Lot in Common, a community garden grows community as well as food, flowers, and consciousness. A diverse group turns a vacant lot in Berkeley, California into a blooming community garden full of lush native California vegetation, eco-friendly technology demonstrations, and outdoor artwork by local artists. They clash over political ideals, runaway pets, and public art, yet in the end, grow a community of neighbors.

The Old Royal Inn in historic downtown Mineral Point is holding Local Food Celebration Dinners on the 4th Wed of each month. We try to use as much local and seasonal ingredients as possible and try to include as many different producers/farmers as possible. Local musicians play from 5:30 to 6:30, then everyone sits down in the dinning room at the same time to break bread together by candle light. The producers are usually on hand to discuss their product and answer any questions from the group. It is usually a 5 or 6 course meal that ranges from $18 to $25 depending on the offerings.
