Earth Day Energy Fair The theme this year is ENERGY, ENVIRONMENT, EDUCATION, EVANSVILLE & U (The 4E’s and U). Last year nearly 2,000 people attended our highly successful fair and were informed about conservation, energy resources and our environment. This has become one of the biggest family events in the community. The fair educates and begins the process of being an agent for change. Free family entertainment at 7:00 with Steve Belliveau and his whiz bang “Get Science” show. | ||

Madison’s Northside Farmers Market featuring over 25 local food vendors opens its 2008 season with a Cinco de Mayo celebration on May 4. On May 4, the market will host live Latin American music from 10:00 am until noon. Local Mexican cooks will offer traditional dishes. There will be a salsa contest at 10:30 am and pinãta breaking for the kids at 11:00 a.m. Located in the Northside TownCenter at Northport Drive and Sherman Avenue across from Warner Park, it runs from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. every Sunday through October.
